Buyer aware of Enterprise Bait and Switch tactics.
The last weekend, I personally had terrible rental incident with Enterprise at Rochester on NY airport site of Boston car hire .
I reserved “standard size SUVs” online with the Enterprise three weeks at advance. Enterprise shows such car class as six cylinders & gives examples of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Nissan Pathfinder, and Ford Explorer.
I reserved the standard size SUVs because I was in need of ample cargo place to take my son from the Vermont towards Rochester. While I reached to pick the vehicle at 9:00am at Saturday, I really asked if I could be getting the Cherokee. I have been told no, I got the Kia Shortages. I questioned adequacy of cargo space & rental manager reassured me as it was same as Cherokee car rental Colorado
While I saw Kia, I spoke to branch manager, Mr. Chris Barnes & again said my need & questioned cargo capacity of Kia at comparison to Explorer or Cherokee. Barnes once again assured me of Kia was at same class as Cherokee & had same cargo spacing. I questioned his thought & asked about what other size SUVs are available. He told none.
Kia turned out for totally inadequate to my needs & I have to leave few of my son’s possessions in storage at Vermont. While I got to home, I have done some research online & learned that Kia Sport age has been classified by the Kia, Consumer Reports & Edmunds as “smaller SUV” not “standard/midsize SUV” I learned further that Kia Sport age is very small and cheap Kia SUV & is four cylinders not 6. Four cylinders Kia have poor highway performance at twelve hour trip from Louisville car rental. The Kia lists its own competitors for Sport age as Honda, Ford Escape & Nissan Rogue…every “smaller SUVs”. Further, Kia Sport age has smallest cargo place (26.2 cubic. feet.) compared to 3 other smaller SUV competitors that have till 35.2 cu.ft.
